Alumine River
Located right at the foothills of Cordillera de los Andes Mountains, the Alumine River along with other rivers, in the surrounding region offers one of the best fly-fishing in Argentinean Patagonia. Most of the area’s crystal clear rivers begin high in the Andes, then wind their way through the Andean foothills to the valleys below. Each river has its unique characteristics, secrets, and challenges. You will discover the secrets of these rivers and enjoy the ultimate Argentinean fly-fishing adventure.

For fishing days, the breakfast at the Lodge is at 7:30 am. Lunch on the river1:30 pm. End of the fishing day and return to the lodge at 5 pm. On the last day of the program, the end of the day is at 3 pm. After lunch.

Arrive to San Martin de los Andes from Buenos Aires (Lunch and transportation from SM to the lodge). -
Day #2
Fishing in the upper stretch of the River Alumine (La querencia/Ceferino) Fishing trip 10 km. -
Day #3
Fishing in the middle sector of the river Alumine (Helbes/Avispero) estimated transportation time from the Lodge 45 min return 65 min. Fishing tour of 12 km. -
Day #4
Fishing mid-stretch of the River Alumine (Avispero/Puesto Quemado) Estimated transportation time from the Lodge 65 min return 85 min Fishing trip of 15 km. -
Day #5
Fishing on Lake Pulmari or fishing in Quillen Lake. (optional) -
Day #6
Fishing mid-stretch of the river Alumine (Puesto quemado/Rancague) Estimated transfer time from the Lodge 85 min return 120 min Fishing trip of 15 km. -

Fishing middle section of the River Alumine (Rancague/Techo Amarillo Cabins) End of the day 3pm. -
Day #8

Note: Camping and staying in the river is one of the favorite programs! A choice of (three days of fishing, two nights) or (two days, one night on the river) This program does not include Drinks at the Lodge Extras at the Lodge Gratuity.
6 INCREDIBLE DAYS OF TROUT FISHING:

Day #1
Arrival at San Martin de los Andes airport. Meet-and-greet. Transfer to town of Alumine (2hrs). Welcome dinner and evening review of the fishing program.
Days at Bravo Sur will be spent fishing on one of the great rivers in the Alumine region and some of the greatest lakes in Patagonia. Each day’s itinerary will be carefully described the previous evening by your fishing guide so that you will be familiar with the fishing spots and the appropriate gear to bring. -
Day #2
After breakfast we will drive 15 minutes to the starting spot and float 12 mile Abra ancha section of the upper Alumine River. This section of the river is beautiful, with riffles and lots of pockets to catch browns and rainbows. There are some rapids on the portion of the river as well. After lunch on the river shore, we will continue fishing and a 30 min drive will take us back to the lodge for dinner. -
Day #3
After breakfast, we will fish 14 mile Avispero /Pichi Leufu section of the upper Alumine river. -
Day #4
Fishing mid-stretch of the River Alumine (Avispero/Puesto Quemado). Fishing trip of 15 km. -
Day #5
Fishing on Lake Pulmari or fishing in Lake Quillen. -
Day #6
Fishing mid-stretch of the river Alumine (Puesto quemado/Rancague). Fishing trip of 15 km. -
Day #7
Fishing middle section of the River Alumine (Rancague/Techo Amarillo Cabins) End of the day 3 pm. Farewell dinner! -
Day #8
Breakfast and transfer to San Martin de los Andes Airport for departure. -
Fishing season:
